We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Assistant to provide personalized care and assistance to a non-ambulatory adult male in need of personal support within the clients home. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients, especially seniors or those with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care settings, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on our clients life.
Duties
- Assist client with daily activities such as bathing, transferring from chair to bed, bed to chair, using a celing lift.
- Empty catheter and change catheter bag
- Offload on side procedures and shifting and adjusting client in bed
- Diapering
- Support with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Client is on JTube feeding, training on J tube will be provided no experience needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment
- Engage client in social activities and companionship to enhance emotional well-being
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any concerns or changes to supervising healthcare professionals
- Assist with transfers and mobility using proper techniques to ensure safety for both client and caregiver
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home health caregiving preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, and dementia care is highly desirable
- Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills with english and patience
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and safety protocols

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
