Automotive Mechanic / Light Vehicle Technician

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Pay: Competitive wage based on experience + performance bonus
About Us
Sprinter Towing Ltd. is a towing and automotive service company serving Winnipeg for over 5 years. We operate a large fleet of tow trucks and service vehicles while also providing repair and maintenance services in our shop.
We are currently looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. Experience with medium-duty trucks is considered an asset, but the main focus of this position is light vehicle repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on cars, vans, and light trucks
- Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs
- Perform routine maintenance services:
- Oil changes
- Brake service
- Suspension repairs
- Steering repairs
- Tire services
- Battery replacement and testing
- A/C diagnosis and repair
- Use diagnostic scanners and testing equipment
- Alignment
- Complete work orders and repair reports
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with occasional roadside service if required
Requirements
- Previous experience as an automotive mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Medium-duty truck experience is an asset
