Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking processes by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during meal service
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation protocols
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers following safety guidelines
- Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic meal preparation techniques
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills related to the food industry and kitchen operations
- Food industry or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory
