Ajax Mitsubishi is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take full ownership of our accounting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who can step in and run the department with confidence and minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Manage and reconcile monthly financial statements and reporting
- Prepare and review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate schedules, including inventory, floorplan, and intercompany accounts
- Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, internal policies, and accounting standards
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and profitability metrics
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
- Implement and improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of accounting / bookkeeping / financial controller experience in an automotive dealership (required or strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting practices & principles
- Experience with CDK Global/Drive (preferred)
- Ability to work independently, and take full ownership of the accounting function
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
