About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Fiberglass Chopper Gun Operator to join our production team. This role is critical in ensuring our fiberglass products are manufactured to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with fiberglass, resin systems, and chopper gun equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain fiberglass chopper gun equipment safely and efficiently
- Apply resin and fiberglass materials to molds following production specifications
- Ensure consistent spray patterns, proper material ratios, and correct laminate thickness
- Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and ventilation protocols
- Assist with mold preparation, gel coat application, trimming, and finishing as needed
- Work with the production team to meet daily output targets and quality standards
- Identify defects or issues and report them promptly to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant work area
Qualifications
- Experience in fiberglass lamination or chopper gun operation
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot simple equipment issues
- Ability to read and follow production instructions and safety guidelines
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with fiberglass, resins, and chemicals
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand, and work in warm conditions
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
- Must have Working at Heights certification

Shift & Schedule Full-time day/afternoon, 42.5 weekly
- Day/Afternoon shift (other shifts may be available depending on production needs)
- Overtime or weekend work may be required during peak season
