Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to oversee the company's receivables processes and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting software, excellent analysis skills, and a customer-focused approach. This role involves managing a team, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating across departments to optimize cash flow and account reconciliation. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
- Oversee data entry of payments and ensure accuracy in financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain balanced ledgers.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or overdue accounts and develop strategies for resolution.
- Collaborate with customers via phone or email to negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Perform regular account reconciliation to ensure consistency between internal records and external statements.
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks and support month-end closing activities related to receivables.
- Prepare reports on aging receivables, collection status, and other financial metrics for management review.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, and general accounting principles.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and account analysis techniques.
- Effective negotiation skills coupled with exceptional customer service abilities.
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail to ensure precise recordkeeping.
- Good math skills necessary for financial calculations and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Prior supervisory experience in an accounting or finance setting is preferred but not required.
This position is integral to maintaining the company's financial stability through efficient management of receivables processes while fostering positive relationships with clients and internal teams alike.
Pay: $65,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
