Responsibilities and Job Overview:

Mow, trim, and edge lawns
-
Weed and prune gardens, along with watering, fertilizing, and annual planting when requested
-
Blow lawns, walkways, and driveways
-
Ensure all river rock is clear
-
Ensure BBQ is clean, the grease tray is wiped out, and the cover is placed back
-
Pressure wash driveway and walkways
-
Move furniture into storage
-
Assist with the cleanliness of docks and decks
-
Clean and empty firepits
-
Collect garbage
-
Assist with the cleaning of eavestroughs
-
Assist with cut backs and fall clean up
-
Cut and stack firewood when needed
-
Pick up sticks and storm debris when necessary
-
Touch up paint as required
-
Assist with the cleanliness of building exterior and interior of sheds and boathouses and out buildings
-
Inform Maintenance Coordinator when repairs or pest control are needed
-
Assist with the closing properties and Dock Removals
-
Ability to learn or have knowledge of snow removal
-
Other duties as assigned by Facility / Maintenance Supervisor and upper management
-
Grounds maintenance experience considered an asset

Possess a valid G driver’s license and have reliable transportation

Must feel comfortable with machinery (Tractor, Line Trimmer, Gators, Zero Turn, etc…)

Sprains & Strains: On your feet for long periods of time, pushing and pulling equipment such as Racks, Saws, lawnmowers, sanders, Power washer, leaf blower and other equipment

Slips & Falls: Spilled water, fast-paced environment, uneven surfaces, inappropriate footwear

Burns & Scalds: Exposure to varying temperatures from hot to cold

Stress: Fast paced environment

- Extreme Temperatures: Heat generated from exposure to the heat of the day

Odours: Cleaning odours from products used to enhance lawn and plant growth

Noise: Generated by equipment in maintenance bar or through using equipment while carrying out day to day duties

Carrying heavy containers and boxes periodically

Moving furniture to accommodate painting and floor repairs or thorough and detailing cleaning and dusting behind appliances
Essential Skills:

Ability to provide legible communication in a timely manner

Knowledge of labour and inventory cost controls

Computer proficiency, to record your payroll hours on a virtual software

Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Respiration (CPR) and First Aid.
