Part-Time Contract Bookkeeper / Accounting Administrator (4–6 Month Term)
Position Summary
Prime Dock & Door, a newly launched division of the Prime Group of Companies, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Administrator to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business during an exciting growth phase. This is a temporary 4–6 month contract position requiring approximately 2–3 days per week and is intended to help establish consistency, improve processes, and support operational accounting functions while the division continues to scale.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes are still being developed. The position will work closely with the Director of Finance and other office staff to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely transaction processing, and operational accountability.
This position is in-office and requires regular collaboration with operational and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Administration
· Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions
· Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
· Manage accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, and payment processing
· Manage accounts receivable, customer invoicing, collections, and payment application
· Assist with month-end procedures and reporting
· Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation
· Monitor cash flow and assist with tracking operational expenses
Operational & Administrative Support
· Collaborate with office and operational staff to ensure purchase orders are complete and accurate
· Assist in tracking parts received and ensuring proper documentation is maintained
· Help establish and improve accounting and administrative processes within the division
· Assist with KPI tracking and reporting to support operational performance and decision-making
· Provide general administrative and accounting support as required

Qualifications & Experience
· 5-10+ years of bookkeeping or accounting administration experience
· Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping procedures
· Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
· Experience with NetSuite would be considered a strong asset
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Position Details
· Contract Length: 4–6 months
· Schedule: Part-time, approximately 2–3 days per week
· $35-$40/hour
· Employment Type: Contract / Temporary
· Work Environment: In-office - Location: Dartmouth, NS
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
