Triangle Steel is currently seeking a full-time Structural Steel Plate Fitter to join our team:
Job Duties include but not limited to:
· Read and interpret blueprints and complete required fitting-related duties
- Ability to complete and document visual QC self-inspection of work according to required quality standards and customer specification
- Grind, stamp, cut, and drill metal
- Operate various types of equipment, including overhead cranes, grinders, welding machines, measuring / testing equipment, cutting torches
- Perform other related duties, when required
Requirements:
- Applicants must have structural steel and plate fitting experience
- At minimum, registered as an Apprentice Structural Steel and Plate Fitter
- A valid Driver’s License preferred
- Basic rigging course, and/or certified overhead crane operator an asset
- WHMIS
- Fit for duty, and able to lift to 30 lbs.
- Registered apprentice as a welder or journeyman welder certification with FCAW experience preferred
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- structural steel plate fitting: 1 year (required)
License/Certification:
- registration - Apprentice Structural Steel and Pipe Fitter (required)
- Class 5 Driver's License (required)
- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
