JOB SUMMARY
Westmont Hospitality Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a diverse portfolio of hospitality assets. This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and works closely with property-level finance teams across the portfolio.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare, analyze, and review monthly financial statements.

Prepare and post journal entries for G/L, A/P, payroll, and recurring items.

Perform P&L reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of period expenses.

Exposure to financial planning or budgeting tools.
Reconciliations & Schedules

Reconcile all bank and balance sheet accounts.

Maintain depreciation and prepaid schedules; update recurring journal entries.

Review and reconcile payroll clearing and manual cheque adjustments.
Cash Flow & Budgeting

Monitor cash balances and forecast cash flows.

Review and comment on property budgets and forecasts.

Ensure accurate lender reporting and debt service payment tracking.
Compliance & Support

Prepare government filings (federal and provincial).

Respond to audit requests and provide financial support to hotel GMs and controllers.

Offer informal training or guidance to property accounting teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, and Three (3) to Five (5) years of Experience in Full-Cycle Accounting Required.

High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Oracle Fusion.

Knowledge/ experience in the Hotel industry would be an asset.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues and property staff.
