Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of various accounting principles and tax regulations. This role is essential for ensuring accurate tax filings and providing exceptional financial services to our clients. As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, assisting clients with their financial inquiries, and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws.
Duties
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and other records to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct thorough analysis of clients’ financial situations to identify potential deductions and credits.
- Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar tools for bookkeeping and account reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and payroll functions as needed.
- Provide guidance on budgeting, investment strategies, and overall financial planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tax preparation ( Minimum 5 yrs experience) or related financial services roles. Specifically Dt Max
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent and
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Familiarity with auditing processes and standards.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and account reconciliation methods.
- Experience in payroll management is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
