Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our service department. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing staff, and driving departmental performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage the service team, including advisors and technicians
Oversee daily service department operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including labor sales and customer satisfaction scores
Ensure compliance with GM Canada standards, policies, and procedures
Manage scheduling, workflow, and shop capacity
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Collaborate with the parts and sales departments to support overall dealership success
Handle warranty processes and ensure proper documentation and submission
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Service Manager or in a leadership role within an automotive service department
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes (GM experience is an asset)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement improvements
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS)
- Valid driver’s license
