Process Engineer
Location: Blind River, ON
Salary: $95,800–$110,000 + Comprehensive Benefits + Pension
INFINITEK is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer to recruit an experienced Process Engineer for a permanent opportunity in Blind River, Ontario.

What You'll Be Doing
As the Process Engineer, you'll be responsible for improving plant performance by optimizing production processes and supporting operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Optimizing rotary kiln and associated production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Identifying production bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.
- Conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective actions.
- Supporting production, maintenance, environmental, and quality teams with technical expertise.
- Performing heat and mass balance calculations and process evaluations.
- Monitoring raw materials, fuel quality, stone quality, and production data to maximize process performance.
- Conducting energy and process audits to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assisting with major shutdown inspections, refractory management, and reporting.
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Supporting SAP production reporting and maintenance activities.
- Tracking greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations and environmental compliance.
- Collaborating with operators, maintenance personnel, and leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Minerals Processing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, operations, or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis experience.
- Experience within industries such as cement, lime, mining, steel, refractory, aggregates, or other heavy process manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable spending significant time on the plant floor working alongside operations and maintenance teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting operational change.
