Reporting to the Manager, Site Services, the Logistics Manager will lead the development and execution of logistics and serve as the single point of contact for all logistics matters. This role is critical to ensure all logistics activities are coordinated effectively, contracts are established in a timely manner, and the company’s logistics activities remain on track and on budget through construction and operations.
The successful candidate will bring expertise in logistics management, developing logistics management plans for both on and off-site material storage, stakeholder relations, and process development to deliver excellence across all logistics functions.
Location
This role is based at the Saskatoon NexGen warehouse on a Monday-Friday schedule with travel required to site and the Saskatoon office.
Including but not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate logistics operations.
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure productivity and quality.
- Ensure deadlines and contractual commitments are met.
- Control and optimize budgets for transportation, warehousing, and inventory to ensure cost-effective flow of goods.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline the supply chain.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to supervisors and their diverse teams.
- Support team growth by delivering targeted training and personalized coaching to enhance capabilities and performance.
- Set measurable objectives for individuals and teams and regularly review performance against goals.
- Act as the main point of contact on all logistics matters and lead follow-up meetings.
- Manage and monitor the prime logistics contracts, including 3PL services, warehouse operations, and domestic/international freight.
- Manage incidents and logistical adjustments in coordination with internal teams.
- Identify and implement process optimization initiatives.
- Participate in integrating digital tools (ERP, automation).
- Promote and enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain adherence to internal procedures and certifications (ISO, etc.).
- Participate in audits and implement required corrective actions.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in logistics operations management, including team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, and 3PL operations.
- Familiarity with legal frameworks and regulations related to transportation and warehousing.
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (asset).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and logistics management systems (WMS, ERP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
