Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of a busy hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, mechanical systems, equipment, and facilities are maintained in excellent condition while supporting a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for guests and employees.
This position reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Operations teams to ensure the highest standards of property maintenance and guest satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesProperty Maintenance & Operations
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities throughout the hotel.
- Perform regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and building systems.
- Ensure all maintenance requests are completed promptly and professionally.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliances, locks, and general building maintenance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and costly repairs.
- Maintain hotel grounds, exterior areas, parking facilities, and common spaces.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure work is completed to company standards.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to maintenance team members.
- Assist with scheduling and emergency on-call coverage when required.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Monitor the condition and performance of hotel equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and asset inventories.
- Track equipment warranties, service schedules, and replacement timelines.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with external vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Assist management with capital improvement projects and renovation planning.
Preventative Maintenance
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for:
- HVAC systems
- Boilers and water heaters
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing systems
- Laundry equipment
- Kitchen equipment (if applicable)
- Fire safety and life-safety systems
- Guest room fixtures and appliances
- Ensure all preventative maintenance records are properly documented.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, fire, and building regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Respond to emergency situations, equipment failures, and property incidents.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organized workshop, storage areas, and maintenance facilities.
Inventory & Purchasing
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Order parts, materials, and supplies as needed.
- Maintain cost control measures and assist with departmental budgeting.
- Track vendor invoices and service expenses.
Guest Service Support
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance concerns and service requests.
- Work collaboratively with hotel departments to minimize disruptions to guests.
- Maintain a professional and guest-focused approach at all times.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel maintenance experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality, facilities, or property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and maintenance reports.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.

Pay: From $21.50 per hour
