Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily store operations and lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. This role requires a proactive individual capable of ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and driving sales performance.
Duties
- Supervise daily store activities, including merchandising, inventory management, and cash handling
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service
- Oversee staffing schedules, recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees
- Manage POS systems, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns to optimize sales
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Monitor store compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for team development
- Assist with budgeting, sales management, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and customer engagement
- Maintain organized records of sales, inventory, and employee performance metrics
Experience
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail or related fields
- Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, and store management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and training & development
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for bookkeeping purposes
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in negotiating with vendors or customers is advantageous
- Familiarity with marketing strategies, pricing tactics, and promotional activities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience with administrative tasks such as payroll processing, budgeting, and interviewing is preferred
