Trealship Services provides services to Ocean Shipping Lines and other transportation carriers by repairing, maintaining, leasing and storing containers. We specialize in reefers (refrigerated containers) though we work on all types of containers. We are currently looking for a Lift Operator to join our team in Winnipeg. This person will be working alongside the Refrigerated technicians and Gate Clerks to ensure proper movements and storage of containers throughout the yard.
We are looking for a team player, with lift operating skills and a keen eye for health and safety.
Main Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate container handling equipment according to all safety and operative protocols.
- Ensure equipment stock piles remain organized and segregated as per company policy
- Lift preventative maintenance
- Work closely with the gate in order to ensure FIFO at the facility is respected
- Complete container inspections in order to determine equipment status prior to accepting it
- Assist the General Labourer in washing containers when time permits
- Assist the Gate Clerk in their functions and act as their backup
- Any other related tasks that may be required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with container handling equipment is preferred
- Experience in driving lifts is required
- Adept with technology
- Good organizational skills and communication
