Heat Treating Operator - Flame Hardening
Thermobond - Atlantic Heat Treating is seeking an Operator to learn the flame hardening process and skills of flame hardening as well as the preparation, testing, co-ordination, processing documentation and fulfilment of work orders meeting established safety, quality and workflow standards. Located in Ajax Ontario the successful candidate will be fluent in English and math, learn new skills and become a team player in a fast-paced environment.
The position will be initially in Mississauga for 2 to 3 months and will be moving with the production operation to Ajax, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Computerized order entry complying with Customer quality standards.
- Receiving of customer parts ensuring accuracy and conformance.
- Processing orders according to customer requirements, specifications and industry standards.
- Material handling via crane and tow motor (tow motor license an asset).
- Quality inspection and conformance (ISO training an asset).
- Perform basic maintenance and equipment repair as required.
- Complete all paperwork and data management as required.
- On going assist in plant cleanliness and organization.
- Answering phone if required.
- Ensure all work is performed within all health and safety standards and regulations.
Skills / Qualifications
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must be a team player.
- Math and science back-ground an asset.
- Must be able to work in Canada.
- Basic Welding experience is as asset.
