Sunnybrook Momentum at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC) Certified Prosthetist, Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist, or board-eligible Prosthetic Resident to join our dynamic team.
As part of one of Canada’s leading academic health sciences centres, you will work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment delivering advanced prosthetic care to a diverse adult amputee population. This role offers exposure to complex clinical cases, cutting-edge prosthetic technologies, digital workflows, and 3D printing, alongside opportunities for clinical growth, research, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a clinical prosthetic caseload across Bayview Campus and St. John’s Rehab
- Deliver high-quality prosthetic care including assessment, casting, 3D scanning, fitting, and device modification
- Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team (Physicians, Orthotists, Pedorthists, OTs, PTs, Technicians, Funding & Clerical staff)
- Apply current best practices to ensure compliance with medical and legal standards
- Contribute to innovation and process improvements in clinical, technical, and operational workflows
- Participate in advancing team knowledge through continuing education, research engagement, and adoption of new technologies and componentry
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized prosthetics / orthotics program
- Eligible for certification with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Preferred Qualifications
- OPC certification (Prosthetist or Prosthetist/Orthotist)
- 2+ years of clinical experience, particularly with adult amputee populations
- Experience with advanced prosthetic technologies, including myoelectrics (upper and/or lower limb)
- Interest or experience in digital workflows, CAD/CAM, or 3D printing applications in prosthetics
