We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Baker to join our bakery team. Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
- Decorate cakes and desserts with professional cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal.
- Follow recipes accurately and adjust ingredients as needed for quality consistency.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations.
- Package baked goods securely for retail sale or delivery, maintaining product integrity.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Contribute to inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and restocking supplies as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in production baking, food preparation, or working in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred.
- Skills in cake decorating and food presentation are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures is essential.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics in cake decorating and product presentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required by the bakery schedule.
- Prior experience in packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale is a plus.
