Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for providing financial and administrative support to the Finance Department through the receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling of invoices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sort, code, match, and file inventory invoices

Enter invoices into system using an ERP system

Process payments via cheque and EFT on a weekly basis

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

Maintain vendor files including communicating with vendor

Other administrative duties as they arise
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Prior experience in a high-volume A/P environment

Industry experience an asset
-
Prior experience with an ERP system is a strong asset

Acts with a strong sense of urgency, paying close attention to detail and accuracy

Demonstrates good professional judgement and problem-solving skills

Able to meet internal deadlines relating to payment due dates and reporting deadlines
