We are seeking a team oriented, professional and driven technician to join our Field Services Technical team. Our company specializes in a full-service offering in Security, Fire Alarm and Life Safety services. This can include, but is not limited to, the installation, repair and maintenance of various systems including: Fire Alarm, Fire Monitoring, Intrusion, Access Control, Video Surveillance, Pedestrian Control as well as Vehicle and Parking Systems and Structured Cabling & Networking.
Fire Monitoring of Canada Inc. (FMC) is a full-service ULC-listed monitoring company, with a core competency of monitoring premises required to have their fire alarm and sprinkler system monitored under applicable Codes and Standards. Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and systems
- Perform annual inspection of alarm monitoring equipment and others
- Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm systems
- Monitor inventory of service parts
Qualifications:

Previous experience in fire alarm, monitoring and security installations, maintenance, or other related fields is a must.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
Position Requirements:
Minimum: High School diploma, post secondary diploma preferred.
Must possess the following:

Be comfortable working with and troubleshooting hardware down to the component level
- Have proven industry experience
- Be highly organized, motivated and focused
- Be capable of working independently
- Be able to work well in a team
- Be able to communicate fluently in English (written and oral)
- Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Must undergo a security check
Definite Assets:

Be enrolled in or have CFAA and CANASA ATC certification
- Previous telco experience
- Previous industry experience
- Networking experience
- Project Management experience
- Experience with products such as DSC, Avigilon, Kantech, ICT, Salto and many others
