Duties
- Feed, water, and monitor animals to ensure their nutritional needs are met and they remain healthy.
- Clean runs, suites and surrounding areas to regularly to maintain hygienic standards.
- Observe animals closely for signs of illness or distress and report findings promptly.
- Assist with behavioral enrichment activities to promote mental stimulation and physical activity. Must be able to walk large breed dogs confidently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and daily activities.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff at all times.
Skills
- Passion for animal welfare with a caring, compassionate attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail in monitoring animal health and maintaining cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and visitors.
- Previous professional animal care experience is an asset.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while working independently.
