Job Overview
Care at Home Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and client-focused Home Care Support Workers to provide quality in-home support to clients who wish to remain independent and comfortable in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centred support in clients’ homes.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, dressing, grooming, and toileting as required.
- Support with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home.
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Support clients with appointments, errands, shopping, and community activities where required.
- Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or behavioural well-being.
- Follow individual care plans and directions provided by supervisors and health-care professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
- Respect client privacy, dignity, cultural preferences, and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow all workplace health and safety, infection prevention, and company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, community support, caregiving, or a related field is an asset.
- Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Assistant (HCA), Care Aide, or similar certification is preferred where applicable.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset or may be required.
- Successful completion of a criminal record/vulnerable sector check, as applicable.
- Ability to provide professional references.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
