Overview:
Job Title: Ramp Resources/Manpower Planner
Department: Resource & Commercial Planning
Classification: Full-Time
SUMMARY
The Resource Planner will join a centralized team of planners, dedicated to manpower utilization and optimization at all.
Job Responsibilities
-
Forecast, plan, create, and implement the schedule, including controlling the bid, for the Ramp department.

Must apply all airline scheduling requirements to the scheduling needs of the department.

Clear and acknowledge all timecard exceptions for payroll processing.

Communicate to all levels of staff any changes to the flight schedules.

Prepare the daily rosters.
-
Assist with the staffing coverage, calls for overtime, etc.

Attend and address all communications (telephone calls, email, SITA, fax messages) necessary.

Maintain good relationships with employees, co-workers, customers, and airline authorities.

Maintain and observe confidentiality with respect to employee records.

Familiar with WSIB rules about injury at the work site, along with Swissport reporting requirements.

Assisting with capturing revenue by accurately completing the Daily Flight Logs

Must have control over the staffing hours required for service.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies
-
Staff planning/allocation experience required.
-
Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Internal and external customer relations skills
-
Knowledge of Passenger Service Operation and a strong understanding of the Collective Bargaining agreement
-
Eligible to work in Canada with an open, valid work permit.

Must obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Transport Canada Security Clearance

Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and diplomacy

Available and flexible to work various shifts (day, evening, weekend, and holidays) according to operational requirements.
