Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure smooth restaurant operations. This role is essential in supporting our culinary team and providing a clean, safe environment for food preparation and service. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas throughout the shift
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and ingredients
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items in accordance with safety standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations to prevent contamination and accidents
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by providing clean dishes and utensils quickly
- Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork-oriented approach to ensure a smooth workflow
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning or dishwashing within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation standards is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with physical stamina
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety practices
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings or weekends if required
