We are looking for a dependable Forklift Operator to join our busy cross-dock operation in Peterborough. The primary focus of this role is unloading inbound trailers and ensuring freight is sorted, scanned, and distributed accurately and efficiently.

- Monday to Friday, 4:30am - 9:30am
- $22.50/Hr

Responsibilities
- Unload inbound trailers and load outbound trailers using a forklift and handheld scanner
- De-rack trailers, remove and stack boards, and fold/store tarps
- Sort and distribute freight to local delivery drivers
- Stage overflow freight for linehaul pickup
- Scan, record, count, and inspect freight for accuracy
- Arrange freight to maximize trailer space and meet departure deadlines
- Start trailer heaters and apply placards as required
- Prepare end-of-day labels and assist with driver coordination
- Maintain a clean, safe dock environment, including general housekeeping
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License, WHMIS, and Dangerous Goods certifications
- Previous forklift and cross-dock experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using handheld scanners and computer systems
- AS400 experience is an asset
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
