The Registered Practical Nurse works as part of the Centre’s First Five Team. Working alongside a Nurse Practitioner, this role provides services on site in West Lorne and St. Thomas as part of a Pediatric Outreach Program supporting the care needs of unattached pediatric clients ages 0-5.
This role includes the screening of unattached infants and children ages for physical, cognitive, language, social -emotional, developmental, nutritional, and behavioural milestones.
Requirements:
- RPN diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution required.
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and RPNAO required.
- Specialized knowledge/skills to provide safe, competent nursing care to the 0-5 pediatric population preferred.
- Computer proficiency and previous EMR experience required.
- Flexible and creative. Working independently and collaboratively within an interpersonal team.
- Embraces the CHC model of care, demonstrates service excellence, and aligns with the values of the Centre.
- Satisfactory, current vulnerable sector police check and proof of education/diplomas/certificates required.
