Blue Thunder Construction is recruiting a hands-on IT professional. This role will support an umbrella of businesses, providing centralized IT services and helping modernize operations across all offices.
We are seeking a forward-thinking and hands-on IT professional who is eager to help bring our organization into the next generation of information technology. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to long-term growth and system improvements.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure (servers, security, backups, antivirus)
- Oversee website and email systems
- Support new expansions, including cabling and workstation setup for offices, warehouses and production facilities
- Lead and assist with new software implementations
- Maintain printers and general office hardware
- Coordinate employee onboarding (devices, accounts, communication tools)
- Manage ISP relationships and service agreements (e.g., Bell)
- Oversee mobile device plans and contracts (Bell/Rogers)
- Provide technical support across software platforms (video conferencing, MS Office, ERP, CRM)
- Administer phone systems (IVR and multi-location office systems)
- Maintain security systems including cameras, alarms, and punch clocks
- Research and recommend new technologies and cost-effective solutions
- Deploy and maintain Active Directory environments
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in IT systems administration and support
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and security best practices
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and multi-site support
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems is an asset
- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems is considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
