Looking for an experienced Service Plumber with commercial experience ideal. Must be able to work independently or with a crew. **. Start date is ASAP.
The Service Plumber will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
Responsibilities
- Respond to plumbing service calls and accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance routines
- Work on heating and cooling systems
- Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, piping, drainage systems, water lines, and related equipment.
- Install and replace plumbing fixtures and equipment, including toilets, faucets, sinks, water heaters, pumps, and valves.
- Troubleshoot leaks, drainage issues, water pressure problems, and other plumbing system failures.
- Complete service work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Communicate findings, recommended repairs, and completed work clearly to customers and office staff.
- Identify additional repairs or maintenance that may be required and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, material usage, and job documentation.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Follow applicable plumbing codes, company procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while respecting customers' homes and businesses.
- Coordinate with other trades, contractors, suppliers, and team members when required.
- Participate in an on-call or after-hours service rotation when required.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Plumber certification or equivalent applicable trade qualification or hands on experience preferred.
- Previous plumbing service and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong knowledge of heating, cooling and plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, drainage, and applicable codes.
- Ability to diagnose problems and determine practical repair solutions independently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate common plumbing tools and equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple service calls throughout the day.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$47.35 per hour
