Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Lead Hand to oversee and assist with various landscape construction projects. This role involves supervising team members, ensuring high-quality work, and creating beautiful outdoor living spaces. This is a clear path to a foreman position. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, understanding of hardscaping, and hands-on experience in landscape construction. This position offers an opportunity to help lead a team while contributing to the beautification clients’ properties.
Responsibilities
- Help supervise and coordinate daily landscape construction activities, including hardscaping, grading and planting.
- Help lead landscape construction projects, including hardscaping, planting beds, and other outdoor features.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction techniques.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to management.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition; perform basic troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape construction or related fields.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape construction, and general horticultural practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation between job sites. This role is vital for ensuring the successful execution of landscape projects while fostering a collaborative team environment dedicated to quality workmanship.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
