We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of our heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment. This position requires someone who takes pride in their work, is safety-minded, and can work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician/Mechanic certification
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and oilfield equipment is considered an asset
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to take pride in maintaining a high standard of work
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other equipment issues
- Complete repairs and maintenance efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Assist with equipment inspections and ensure units remain safe and operational
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and assist with emergency repairs when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work environment
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and industry requirements
- Work collaboratively with drivers, shop staff, and field personnel
- Assist with general shop duties and other tasks as required
