ROSEDALE GOLF CLUB
Job summary:
Pastry cook or baker possess creativity, the ability to follow written or verbal directions, attentiveness to detail, and basic mathematics and measurement skills. For decorating cakes and other pastries, they also need hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and artistic talent.
Job duties:
· The pastry cook follows recipes to produce baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, rolls, pies and pastries.
· Provide quality and timely prepared foods
· Follow sanitation guidelines
· Adhere to safety procedures
· Pitch in and work as part of a team
· Stock and rotate food
· Handle equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies, and tools
· Perform operating procedures
· During special events, bakers produce large quantities of standardized bake goods using large high volume ovens, mixing machines and other types of equipment.
· Maintain food quality
· Communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
· Notify the Server of completed orders
Qualifications:
· Formal Pastry Training
· Minimum of 1 year experience.
· Food Safety Training Certificate
· Maintain cleanliness at all times, good communication skills, team player,
· Enthusiastic about food preparation, cooking and food presentation
Working conditions:
This position involves physical activity including standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and working with cleaning materials. The role may involve exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, and varying environmental conditions.
