- Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 annually
- Please note, this role will be fully on-site in the client's downtown Toronto office during training and onboarding, transitioning to 4 days on-site thereafter.

Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting for two newly established business entities
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger (GL)
- Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Support financial reporting and other accounting-related projects as required
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting inquiries
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Hands-on experience performing full-cycle accounting
- Strong experience completing bank reconciliations
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a high-volume, transactional accounting environment is considered an asset
- Previous experience within the energy sector is considered an asset
- Experience using Sage Intacct is considered an asset
- Experience working in a start-up or high-growth organization is considered an asset
