Tower Mechanical Ltd. is looking for a motivated 3rd or 4th Year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprentice to join our commercial HVAC team.
This is an excellent opportunity to continue building towards your Journeyperson status working under experienced Journeypersons across a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems throughout the Calgary area. We're looking for someone eager to learn, willing to work hard, and committed to becoming an outstanding HVAC technician and valued member of the team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, split systems, boilers, heat pumps, and make-up air units.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues under the guidance of Journeyperson technicians.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Learn commercial HVAC controls and building automation systems.
- Maintain accurate service documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Currently in your 3rd or 4th Year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprenticeship.
- Previous commercial HVAC experience is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Legally able to work in Canada
