Position Summary
Rockwood Truss is looking for hardworking and reliable individuals to join our team as Seasonal General Laborer. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the manufacturing of roof trusses, floor systems, and engineered wood products. Strong performers may be considered for permanent full-time positions based on attendance, work ethic, and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production and assembly of roof trusses and floor systems.
- Handle, sort, and stack lumber and building materials.
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and production equipment safely.
- Read measurements and follow production instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Support various departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Construction, manufacturing, or woodworking experience is an asset but not required.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
