The Role (Read This First)
We are not looking for a “helper.”
We are looking for a self-sufficient drywall technician who can:
- Walk onto a job alone
- Solve the problem
- Complete clean, professional work
- Move on to the next job without babysitting
This is a high-trust, high-output role handling:
- Drywall patches
- Small board installs
- Taping & finishing repairs
- Poly and IPD installs
- Minor back framing
If you need constant direction, this is not the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Complete multiple small jobs per day (service-style work)
- Handle drywall patching from start to finish
- Tape and finish to a clean Level 4 standard
- Install small sections of board as needed
- Minor steel stud framing/backing for repairs
- Communicate clearly with office + send job photos and reports
What We Expect:
- You can work alone without supervision
- You show up early and get after it
- You move fast but still produce clean work
- You take ownership of your jobs
- You don’t need to be told what to do every 5 minutes
Requirements:
- 3+ years drywall experience (boarding + taping)
- Must be capable in BOTH:
- Drywall installation (small jobs)
- Taping/finishing (repairs and patches)
- Valid driver’s license
- Professional attitude (you will be customer-facing)
This Job Is NOT For You If:
- You only do taping OR only do boarding
- You need constant direction
- You move slow or overthink simple work
- You disappear mid-day or drag jobs out
- You’re not comfortable working independently
