Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CWB Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role involves working with various welding techniques, machinery, and tools to produce high-quality metal components for construction, ductwork, and manufacturing applications. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools for shaping and assembling metal parts
- Use calipers, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment to measure, cut, and assemble materials
- Conduct rigging operations safely when handling heavy or complex components
- Maintain quality standards by inspecting welds and finished products for defects or inconsistencies
- Assist with assembly tasks related to ductwork, structural steel, or other fabricated components
- Follow safety protocols including crane operation and forklift handling when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring safety compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in MIG Welding techniques
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly, and construction processes
- Ability to operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, cranes, forklifts, power tools, and hand tools safely
- Familiarity with rigging procedures and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience working with ductwork or in construction environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of welding safety standards and practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a manufacturing setting
- Prior experience with schematics reading and assembly tasks is preferred
