Soccer Coach – Girls ProgramJob Summary
Mississauga Soccer Academy is seeking a passionate, energetic, and knowledgeable Soccer Coach to join our Girls Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging training sessions, supporting player development, and creating a positive environment that encourages players to reach their full potential.
This role is ideal for a coach who is enthusiastic about developing young athletes, enjoys working as part of a collaborative coaching team, and is committed to providing an outstanding player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate training sessions aligned with the club's coaching philosophy.
- Teach and develop technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game.
- Coach teams during league matches, festivals, tournaments, and other club events.
- Provide constructive feedback to support individual player development.
- Create a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive learning environment for all players.
- Promote positive attitudes, sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
- Communicate professionally with players, parents, and club staff.
- Arrive prepared and on time for all training sessions and matches.
- Follow all club policies, Ontario Soccer standards, and Safe Sport requirements.
- Support player assessments and development reviews throughout the season.
- Attend coach education workshops, staff meetings, and club CPD sessions as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong understanding of soccer coaching principles and player development.
- Previous coaching experience with youth players is preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and build relationships with young players.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ontario Soccer coaching certification appropriate for the age group.
- Respect in Sport Activity Leader certification.
- Making Head Way in Soccer certification.
- Making Ethical Decisions (MED).
- Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
- Rule of Two certification.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
- CPR and First Aid certification (an asset).
