Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bartender/Bar Supervisor to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing bar operations, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for hospitality. As a key team member, you will oversee daily bar activities, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and foster a welcoming environment for patrons.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Supervise bar staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Very small staff, you will be the main bartender
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, manage cash handling procedures, and balance registers at shift end.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings including specialty drinks and food items; assist in serving food when necessary.
- Enforce responsible alcohol service policies and monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment.
- Train new staff members on proper serving techniques, POS usage, food safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Address guest concerns promptly to resolve issues effectively while maintaining professionalism.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant or bar service; previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of alcohol laws is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and oversee daily operations efficiently.
- Must possess good communication skills, be personable, reliable, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
