Job Overview
Prime Core Services is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaners to join our team on an on-call basis for commercial office spaces located in Newmarket, ON.
This position is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work opportunities with afternoon and evening shifts, typically between 6:00 PM and 10:30 PM, based on operational needs. Successful candidates who demonstrate reliability, strong performance, and a positive work ethic may have opportunities to be considered for permanent part-time or full-time positions in the future as business needs grow.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of office spaces, including workstations, meeting rooms, and common areas
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, ensuring high hygiene standards
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and high-touch areas
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Follow cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and task checklists
- Report any maintenance or repair issues when noticed
- Complete all assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shift times
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial or office cleaning is an asset (training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Physically able to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting light equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Basic English communication skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
