Job summary:
Supporting all aspects of quality and product safety to promote, sustain and evolve the highest standards of excellence
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Maintenance and development of Quality and Product Safety systems and programs, including work instructions and SOPs
- Internal auditing of Good Manufacturing Practices (facility inspection) and company’s compliance to Product Safety standard (IFS PACsecure), including documentation
- Customer focus and support: customer complaint management to drive improvements – work with production employees to determine non-conformance root cause, and arrive at effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence of the same
- Internal non-conformance management and investigation – containment and disposition of out-of-specification product, root cause investigation and CAPA implementation and monitoring
- Customer regulatory requests support
- Support of supplier quality management: supplier COA review and filing, supplier documentation review where required, supplier non-conformance communication and follow-up with Purchasing
- Employee training
- Product retention sample management
Qualifications & Skills:
- Effective verbal communication skills (English).
- Effective written communication skills (English).
- Ability to effectively collaborate with employees from variety of disciplines, cultural and educational backgrounds, and functions (departments) within the company.
- Methodical and organized.
- Prioritize effectively.
- Overall positive outlook, and willingness to explore different perspectives in order to achieve a desired outcome.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) / data management to drive improvements.
- Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA)
- Product Safety standards knowledge and experience: GMP, HACCP, IFS PACsecure (an asset).
- Computer skills: Windows, MS Office: Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook.
- Post-secondary education in a technical or science field.
- Training and/or experience in continuous improvement methodology (Lean Six Sigma) an asset.
