310T Truck Technician - Hamilton, ON. (Shop-based Role)
A well-established Canadian truck dealership group with multiple service locations across Southwestern Ontario is actively hiring licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technicians, and 2nd/3rd year registered apprentices to join its growing service teams. With continued investment in facilities, OEM training, and technician development, this organization offers long-term stability and strong earning potential.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks
- Service diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and electrical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Use manufacturer service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles
- Communicate with customers to explain the work needed
- Attend company-sponsored and dealer-specific training as scheduled
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
What We're Looking For:
- Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician, or a 2nd/3rd year apprentice under a valid Registered Training Agreement with Skilled Trades Ontario or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience as a licensed heavy-duty truck technician, or equivalent industry experience
- Valid G class driver's licence with a good driving record; Z endorsement an asset
- Must have the necessary hand tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary motive power/auto technology training an asset
Compensation & Benefits:
- $35.00 - $55.00/hr based on experience and licensing
- Monthly technician proficiency bonus
- Potential signing bonus up to $2,000 based on licence and years of experience
- Guaranteed 40 hours/week with overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 44 hours
