Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our specialized medical team. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasounds on pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and detailed imaging.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately, explaining procedures in a manner suitable for children and their guardians.
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team members to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
- Maintain detailed patient records, ensuring all images and reports are accurately documented in compliance with hospital policies.
- Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric cardiac imaging techniques and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with specialization or experience in pediatric cardiac imaging preferred.
- Proven knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology and pediatric healthcare.
- Prior experience working with ultrasound equipment in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and precision in image acquisition and documentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining compassionate patient care standards.
- Must meet all credentialing requirements set forth by the healthcare facility or governing bodies.
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
