Center Sports Complex is seeking passionate, energetic, and knowledgeable basketball coaches to join our growing basketball department.
Our programs serve athletes from U9 to U18 through a structured Long-Term Athlete Development model focused on building fundamental skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of basketball.

Position Overview
We are hiring Youth Development Basketball Coaches to lead athletes through our structured 12-week development programs.
All practice plans and curriculum are provided, allowing coaches to focus on what they do best—teaching, encouraging, and developing young athletes.
There are also opportunities to provide private basketball training and work as an Adult League Game Official for additional hours.
Responsibilities
As a Youth Development Coach, you will:
- Lead weekly basketball practices using provided practice plans and curriculum
- Coach athletes during bi-weekly gameplay sessions
- Teach basketball fundamentals using positive, age-appropriate coaching methods
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and effort
- Adapt instruction for athletes with varying skill levels
- Build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and staff
- Assist with court setup, equipment, and cleanup
- Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled sessions
- Represent Center Sports Complex in a professional manner
Additional opportunities may include:
- One-on-one and small-group basketball training
- Adult Basketball League officiating
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Basketball playing and/or coaching experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A passion for working with youth athletes
- The ability to teach basketball fundamentals effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliable transportation
- Evening weekday availability
Previous coaching experience is an asset but is not required for the right candidate.

Schedule:
Youth Development Coaches should be available for:
- Two weekday practices each week
- One gameplay session every second Friday
Typical coaching schedules include:
Option 1
- Monday practice
- Wednesday practice
- Alternate Fridays
Option 2
- Tuesday practice
- Thursday practice
- Alternate Fridays
Practice times are scheduled between 4:00 PM and 7:15 PM on weekdays.
Gameplay sessions take place on alternating Fridays between 4:00 PM and 8:30 PM.
Private training sessions are scheduled based on coach and athlete availability, with additional weekday and weekend opportunities.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage of $25.00 per hour

Training & Start Date
