About Us
Center Sports Complex is seeking passionate, energetic, and knowledgeable basketball coaches to join our growing basketball department.
We provide basketball programming for athletes from U9 to U18 and are building a coaching team that can support a variety of current and future programs. Our approach focuses on skill development, confidence, basketball fundamentals, and creating a positive experience for young athletes.

Position Overview
We are hiring Youth Basketball Coaches and Skills Trainers to support our growing basketball programming.
Coaches may have opportunities to work with a variety of programs, including:
- Drop-in skill development sessions
- 4–6 week skill development blocks
- 3-on-3 developmental leagues
- Evening basketball clinics
- Weekend and school break camps
- Tryout preparation and pre-season camps
- PD Day camps
- Private and small-group basketball training
- Optional: work as an Adult League Game Official for additional hours.
All practice plans and curriculum are provided, allowing coaches to focus on what they do best—teaching, encouraging, and developing young athletes.
Programming will vary throughout the year, and coaches may be scheduled based on program needs, registrations, experience, and availability.
This position offers flexible part-time coaching opportunities. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary depending on programming schedules and demand.
Our goal is to build a staff of coaches who can take on regular programming, occasional shifts, camps, clinics, private training, and substitute opportunities as they become available.
Responsibilities
Depending on the program or assignment, coaches may:
- Lead basketball skill development sessions for youth athletes
- Teach basketball fundamentals using positive, age-appropriate coaching methods
- Deliver practices and sessions using Center Sports Complex curriculum and practice plans
- Coach athletes during 3-on-3 games, leagues, camps, and other programming
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt instruction to athletes with different ages and skill levels
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, effort, and sportsmanship
- Build positive relationships with athletes, families, and staff
- Assist with court setup, equipment, and cleanup
- Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled sessions
- Act as a positive role model and representative of Center Sports Complex
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Basketball playing and/or coaching experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A passion for working with youth athletes
- The ability to teach basketball fundamentals effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliable transportation
- Some evening and/or weekend availability
Previous coaching experience is an asset but is not required for the right candidate.

Schedule:
This is a flexible, part-time position with hours varying throughout the year.
Programming may take place:
- Weekday afternoons and evenings
- Weekends
- PD Days and school breaks
- Holidays and seasonal camps
Coaches will be contacted as programming and coaching opportunities become available. Assignments will be based on program needs, registrations, qualifications, and individual availability.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage of $25.00 per hour
