We are seeking a Junior CAD Drafter to support our design and production teams by creating accurate shop drawings and fabrication-ready documents for architectural cladding and related building envelope systems. This entry-level role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys turning design intent into clear, buildable drawings and keeping revisions organized throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings and shop drawings based on architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Support drawing reviews by applying revisions, tracking changes, and maintaining clear version control/documentation
Coordinate with internal teams (production, estimating, project coordination) to clarify details and resolve drawing questions efficiently
Assist with preparing fabrication details, cut sheets, and install-ready drawing packages
Maintain well-organized digital project files, folders, and drawing logs to ensure quick access and accuracy
Qualifications
Entry-level to 2 years of drafting experience, or a related diploma/training in drafting, design, or architectural technology
Comfortable using CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and following basic construction drawing standards
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle repetitive revisions accurately and consistently
Familiarity with building envelope / architectural cladding concepts is an asset
Strong English communication skills; French is an asset
