Quality Manager Position in FRP Manufacturing
The Quality Manager is responsible for monitoring the manufacturing and production processes to ensure that products are made in accordance with requirements and specification. The position also involves helping customers understand quality standards. The Quality Manager will make sure that all quality control documentation is up-to-date and maintained on file as per requirement. The Quality Manager evaluates, maintains, and improves the existing quality management system.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor process quality by performing process audits and finished goods audits
- Test and document incoming raw materials
- Update and monitor a Material Management System
- Correct problems in the production process by identifying the source of the problem and making the necessary fix; if someone needs more training for example
- Ensure that products meet the required standards and specifications consistently
- Interpret technical drawings and verify parts conform to them
- Use Excel to generate reports from collected data
- Interact with customers in relation to quality (voice call / site visit)
- Interact with raw material vendors
- Work with other departments to achieve quality related goals
- Positively interact with coworkers to promote productive relationships based on credibility and trust
- Conduct training programs; chop gun / gel coat control spraying training
Qualifications:
- Experience in FRP manufacturing is an asset
- High school diploma or GED required
- Goal oriented
- Good time management
- Good computer/technology comprehension capabilities including spreadsheet software
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
- Readily accepts credible instruction and executes effectively
- Needs to be reliable and flexible
- Good documentation skills
