Country Plaza Medical Centre is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Office Assistant to join our growing Family and Walk-In Clinic in Strathmore.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for many patients and will play an important role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly each day. Duties include greeting patients, answering phones, booking appointments, processing referrals and requisitions, managing electronic medical records, and supporting physicians and other clinical staff with day-to-day administrative tasks.
We are looking for someone who is professional, works well in a team, communicates effectively, and remains calm and efficient during busy clinic periods. Experience working in a family practice or walk-in clinic environment and familiarity with EMR systems are strong assets.

Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients professionally and courteously
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
- Register new patients and maintain accurate patient records
- Process referrals, requisitions, forms, and medical correspondence
- Manage physician schedules and support clinic workflow
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Perform EMR data entry and administrative tasks
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient front desk environment
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other clinic staff
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification or equivalent healthcare administrative certification (e.g., Unit Clerk, Medical Administrative Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or similar recognized healthcare administration program).
- At least 6 months of recent experience in a family practice, walk-in clinic, or similar healthcare setting
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
