Goodfellow is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join the Dartmouth sales team located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In this role, the successful candidate will build and strengthen relationships with merchant customers across Goodfellow’s building materials lines. By applying best-in-class service skills, they will deliver tailored solutions that will enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Handle high call volume
- Create and manage quotes, sales orders, and documentation ensuring accuracy
- Provide product knowledge to customers on our products
- Monitor order fulfillment from entry through delivery to proactively resolve any issues
- Coordinate closely with other departments/teams to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution
- Support purchasing and inventory management of our Product lines
- Identify and support strategies for slower-moving or overstocked inventory
- Take initiative in managing customer needs, making day-to-day judgment calls that impact margin, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in inside sales, customer service, or a retail/wholesale building materials environment
- Strong understanding of, or ability to learn quickly, lumber and building materials products, including grades, specifications, and applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in order entry, pricing, and documentation
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; EPICOR experience is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Purchasing or inventory support experience, including PO entry, follow-up, and coordination
- Proven ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team
