Foreman/Lead hand
Type of work: Residential Metal Roofing, Siding, Soffit, Fascia, and Gutters.
Full-time, Year-round work
Wages: Starting pay is commensurate with candidate's experience and qualifications
Experience: 3+ years in residential roofing/siding with foreman experience
Location of work: Residential job sites throughout Manitoba and Western Ontario
Foreman MUST be able to work in and out of town
Duties / Responsibilities
◦ supervision of all employees assigned to crew
◦ uphold safe work practices, procedures, and company policies
◦ ensure that job runs smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule
◦ communication with Supervisor -- job status, supplies, progress, etc.
◦ communication / relations with on-site contacts, other trades, etc.
◦ instruct & participate in on-site work as required
Skills / Abilities
◦ able to read schematics and architectural drawings
◦ proficient at problem solving & critical thinking
◦ proficient at conflict resolution
◦ proficient with hand and power tools common to specific trade
◦ experience driving with trailers (valid driver's license is a MUST)
◦ capable of working at heights: on ladders, scaffold, and with aerial lifts
